Grover Furr's Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

  1. You know I can't help but notice that you criticize virtually every tendency on the left yet seem to be doing absolutely nothing to improve the situation. What is it you're advocating? That we all just give up, stick with the unions we have and ignore the erosion of their rights? Vote Democrat/Labor? Granted there are a lot of problems in the left but ONE of those problems is that we have an awful lot of cynics who get burnt out and then try to set themselves above the whole left so that they may rain down criticism(including the occasional straw-man) on everyone without doing or contributing anything themselves.

Pretty much. Yeah whatever you have to laugh at yourself, but we get enough of that from reactionaries, never mind sectarianism. and this isn't roasting or friendly needling, it's biting nasty satire. Bad news.

  3. hey guys--

cool your jets! grover furr is a serious student of soviet history. no dogmatist. no skeptic about the possibilities of left/revolutionary change.

are you seeing in him a mirror image of your own dogmatist and skeptical selves?
